Summary Term 2 (Year 1)

In term 2 of year 1, many things i have been learning in KPTM. I realize my subject become more tough than term 1. In term 2, i am still learning a same subject with term 1 which is

• EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, 
• PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, 
• ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEMS, 
• DESIGNING AND USABILITY, 
• INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING, 
• COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE AND NETWORK, 
• LOGIC AND SETS and 
• ENGLISH SUPPORT PROGRAMME. 

The only difference is this term 2 i will sit for the first time for my final exam where is in Enterprise Information System paper. More challenging, each subject become more hard. But it is natural right because each thing will become harder and harder. So i just follow the flow and try my best to get a good achievement in each subject. After finished my final exam on 15 June 2015, i will going back to my hometown which is Penang to enjoy my semester break for almost 3 month. On 18 June was the first day fasting n this year and I am very pleased to be fasting together with my family since my last paper on 15 June. 

Content 5: Academic Issue

TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM

There are many academic issue always faces by student. One of the issue is about transportation. Transportation also poses to be a popular problem that student face, especially student who rent on-campus lodging or places near campus. Usually, transportation problem faced by student who study in private university. This is because private university are providing accommodation to students but the place are quite far from campus. So student have to go it alone by public transportation and this is same goes to other student which rent houses.  

University student are at an age where where they will be itching to go out and see the world. So we cannot expect that they will sit quietly in their rooms just studying 24 hours. As a student, they will want to have a social live. Student who come from out of town would love the opportunity to explore the place they are currently residing in. Maybe the university can lend a hand in this area by providing shuttle buses to train station or bus stations nearby so that student can take a public transportation to their desired destination. This can help student's improve safety while travelling to and from the campus.  

Presentation Skills

In Professional Skills class, we were taught by our lecturer Madam Aduni on how to have a good presentation skills. To be a good presenter, a person must to be competent rather than just a confident speaker. They must know how to build an impressive Power Point Slide and good in explain point through short story and do not just only read.

A good presenter also must know how to be entertaining, make a eye contact with audience and wise to project their voice. So listener will be more interest to listening when they are present.

Before start a presentation, a presenter need to practice more than twice as a step to be more prepared. So they need to come early during a day presentation.

Summary for Term 1 (Year 1)

For the first year in term 1 at Kolej Poly-Tech Mara, i have been introduced to a new subject which is

• ENGLISH SUPPORT PROGRAMME.

From the new subject, i have learning something new such as how to do a coding through a subject Introduction to Programming, to know more about computer such as networking in computer, how a computer run the program and so on in subject Computer Architecture. In Designing and Usability i have learn to design and create a website, in Professional Skills i learn about blog which is before this i am not interesting into blog and now everything had changed. I think i should have a my own blog since earlier yet. In Effective Communication Skills is about subject to teach student the ways to speak, act, communicate effectively, write with people. For example, if a student want to apply a job if they are graduate. So, this subject teaching us the right ways to us to get the job. Logic and Sets subject are a subject which related with mathematics but it is more challenging and it is quite tough while in Enterprise Information System are introduced student to a system in business. 

After studying all this subject for almost six months, it quite hard for me since this course are not familiar with me. But i will try work harder to learn this subject for the next term.  

Content 3: Tutoring Report

Our lecturer, Madam Aduni binti Mohd Adnan were assign us to do some research regarding jobs that related to our costs which is computer science. A few topics have been given such as:

So for this task, i had assigned to do a topic about Database Developer. In this tasks, we are assigned to make a slide show about our topic and present it in our class. Here is my slide which is has a little bit information about Database Developer. Hope this information can help you guys to know better about database developer field.

Next, in this subject i also have given a task to make a video. In this task, each group are worked in pairs except for my group which had three people in it. Theme for this video is about Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM). 

For my group, we are decided to make a video about environment in our college (KPTM). We work together to complete this video for two days which is the first day we record environment in Kolej Poly-Tech Mara and the next day we edit our video. So i want to take the opportunity to saying thanks toward my group members which is Nur Diyanah bt Mokhtar and Nur Fatin Suhada Bt Rosli that has given good cooperation in preparing this video and to my lecturer Madam Aduni bt Mohd Adnan that guide us. 

After complete make a video, we had to show it in our classmate and lecturer. So, this is my complete video about environment in KPTM which is i and my friend prepared. Hope you guys enjoy watch it.

Content 4: Reflection with Goals and Aspiration

Now, i want to share about my other interest. I am a person who like a cute kids especially baby. Due of this attitude i am always trap to a television show or anything which related to those cute kids. Now i fall in love with one of a television show from Korea which is Return of Superman. This television show is about a husband take responsibility for keeping their children alone without his wife for 48 hours. Watching this make me always laugh like crazy because seeing a those cute kids act, their naughtiness, their cuteness. OMG. I wish someday Malaysia will has a television show like this.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM ?

Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song or even idea and passing it off as your own. This includes information from web pages, books, songs, televisions show, email messages, interviews, articles, artworks or any other medium.

WHAT IS FAIR USE ?

Fair use is a limitation and exception to the exclusive right granted by copyrightlaw to the author of a creative work.  Examples of fair use include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship. It provides for the legal, unlicensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author's work under a four-factor balancing test. 

Throughout a life as a student, there a many of assignment student need to do and finished it. Through this subject, i have known there has a plagiarism checker where a student can know if their assignment are an act of plagiarizing or not. Technology

WHAT TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY I USE IN CLASS ?

Technology is electronic or digital products and systems considered as a group. In class i using type of  technology such as my phone to search information and also share information with others. Using a phone make me easy to communicate, sharing and get a latest information through Facebook, WhatsApp and other media social. Through social medial, i as a student can communicate with my lecturers to asking any information or question.

Besides that i also using laptop in my class as a technology. I am using laptop to search engine to get more information from google to finished my assignment.

As a student who learning in KPTM, I am using a technologies are provided by our college which is Online Learning System (OLES) and Content Management System (CMS). OLES is a website where lecturer will upload their note or assignment on that and student can download and save any notes and assignment on their laptop.
